I came across some staggering statistics.

Only 6% of individuals with autism spectrum disorder have full time employment.  That's 94% unemployment.

Only 12% of individuals with Asperger's or high functioning autism have full time employment despite an average IQ.  That's 88% unemployment.

We must work to change this.  I know more individuals are capable of work than the statistics are showing.

We are working on a program to help in this area.  We need to focus on developing job skills and assistance in finding jobs.  We will be offering one on one instruction as well as trial work experience in the community with a job coach.

I have started a company that will assist with this goal.  Michigan Job Development.  Here's a story that ABC - Channel 7 did on us:

We will be starting a few small businesses that will employ these individuals.  For those individuals interested in starting their own business, we will assist them in finding grants to get their business up and running.  We will advise them as needed to assure it stays in business.

In today's marketplace, competition is high and businesses are cutting back on any unessential jobs.  These statistic will get worse if we do not make this a priority.

If you have an idea as to a small business that that may benefit this program, please email me at:
